ok this still has to do with stereo stuff but i didnt know where to ask it....
anyway, if there was absolutly no liturature on a receiver or amp or whatever,
would it be possible to hook a lightbulb up to the speaker outputs of the componant and turn the volume all the way up to check the RMS power?
you could use different watt bulbs to determine the power.
maybe if the bulb burns out then the power was over the rating for it.
anyway, my main question was Would it mess up the amps in a receiver or an amplifier to do this?
